Children

Immunization is required by law in North Carolina. To be eligible for MK Station and other childcare provided by JAARS, it is mandatory that your child be current with his/her immunizations.

Childcare is available during ICC mandatory classes.

NOTICE: Registration for all children and youth closes one month before the start of the ICC session. 

Babies and Preschool:

  • Babies ages 3 months and younger may be in class with parents. 
  • Children ages 3 months through pre-school attend MK Station. Some instruction on transitions and cross cultural issues will be given.

School-aged children:

  • Summer ICC Session - Summer Safari program is available for children who have completed K-5th grades. 
     
  • Other ICC Sessions:
    • To enroll children in local school bring:
      • Health records
      • Current immunization records
      • Birth certificate
      • Social security card
    • Homeschoolers
      • Wycliffe Bible Translators, SIL, JAARS, Wycliffe Associates: Homeschool assistance may be available, contact Patti Garretson for information.
      • Non-Wycliffe Bible Translators, SIL, JAARS, Wycliffe Associates missionaries: Due to limited personnel, no homeschooling provision is available for children of missionaries from other organizations. Please consider attending the summer sessions of ICC when there are daily programs for elementary school aged children or bring someone to care for your homeschoolers while you are in class.
